Strategic Planning
Serving as the Project Manager for the West Engagement Team of Thrivent, I have played a pivotal role in orchestrating and driving forward critical projects that align with overarching strategic objectives. Since joining the team in February 2019, I have guided the ten-state region of the organization toward achieving its long-term goals and ensuring initiatives are effectively planned, executed, and monitored to drive success and sustainable growth.
In the first year I joined the team, I designed and implemented a communication lifecycle strategy to increase internal engagement with financial advisors and external engagement with current and prospective clients. Part of this communication strategy was the development of a website that was public-facing for clients and prospective clients, and internally facing for financial advisors and subteams. Since 2020, I have overseen the content and creative direction of this website, and all communication and marketing collateral. Additionally, I have overseen the continued iterative usage of the communication lifecycle strategy.
Each year, my expertise in strategic planning grew. In 2020, I designed a lead generation and client engagement strategy that is now being executed for the fourth year in a row and has resulted in events yielding a 25% conversion to an appointment. Portions of the strategy have been adopted enterprise-wide.
In 2021, I began my journey towards achieving my Project Management Professional (PMP)® and implemented a RACI project model for stakeholder management and alignment. Currently, I directly lead a team of four and collaborate with field engagement and leadership teams, and cross-functional marketing teams. I keep the organization's mission, vision, and objectives top of mind when developing plans, and take into account internal and external factors, market research, and identify opportunities and threats to mitigate risk. A large part of my work involves defining project scope, creating timelines, allocating resources, and managing budgets. In addition, I serve as the team process manager and performance tracker and utilize data analytics tools and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve results.
I am adept at problem-solving, and developing creative solutions to overcome obstacles and achieve strategic objectives. I am highly collaborative and serve as a team leader to provide guidance, motivation, and support to team members.
